About the event
The 2nd LT Richard W. Collins III Foundation educates and empowers promising young Americans who’ve proven themselves to be outstanding citizens. Our first-in-the-nation work includes:
1) Scholarships for students to pursue a quality education and develop strong leadership skills to achieve their professional goals.
2) Groundbreaking program connecting Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly White Institutions (PWI) for either a full day of team building exercises, shared challenges and a high ropes course or a week-long Appalachian Trail expedition, and3) Social Justice Alliance programming, curriculum and experiential activities to stimulate conversations and direct action for change among students from HBCU's and PWI's. 3) Social justice programming, curriculum and experiential activities to stimulate conversations and direct action among students from HBCU's and PWI's.
