Commissioning More Lieutenants!

As you probably know, one of the most rewarding parts of our work here at the 2nd LT Richard W. Collins III Foundation is our interaction with the incredible young men and women who, like Richard, have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to service and country by joining ROTC.

There is nothing more important to us than making sure that they feel honored by and welcomed into our Foundation’s family. One of the many ways we do this is by celebrating with them as they transition into their career of service at their ROTC commissioning ceremonies.

In August, Dawn and Rick Collins, were present as the Bowie State Bulldog Battalion commissioned second lieutenants that completed their college degrees over the summer. Every commissioning at Bowie State is especially meaningful for our Founders because, it was there that they watched with great pride as their own son raised his right hand and swore an oathto serve his country.
